Applied anatomy of the lower extremity
Anatomy is the single most important factor for success in peripheral nerve blocks, regardless of the technique (ie, nerve stimulator or ultrasound). The following is a review of those aspects of the anatomy of the lower extremity that can be considered essential for a safe and successful practice.
